The Lone Star Heart Club Band pays homage to Texas icons. The painting’s origins are unconfirmed, but the initials “GWB” in the lower left corner implicate it may be a creation of former President and Texas resident George W. Bush.

The background and foliage are the product of oil paint while the collage of characters is made from hand-cut images printed on standard computer paper to create a motley crew of Texas icons, paying homage to The Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”
